Default The most beautiful place on earth?

Is it? I have never been to Baja, so tell me all about it, what appeals to you so much and why you would go back again and again.

Default Allure of Baja

After having sold my business and retired in Dec. '03 myself and my wife have been traveling extensively. Been to China, Hawaii (thrice because we can sponge off of relatives), Japan, around the western US, Florida, the Texas Gulf Coast and Louisana Cajun country, up to Alaska, and a few other short trips around California (mostly in our 5th wheel). For me, Baja holds a certain something that NO other place can match. I don't know if it's the contrasts of geology or simply the freedom one can experience while traveling down there. Not to mention the interesting and likeable characters you meet along the way. I've been going there since I was 5 years old (with my dad down to Ensenada to fish on the half day boats). I'm 61 now and still haven't gotten my fill of it!!!!!

It is the raw beauty of the land. You can go from mountains to desert to ocean in a matter of minutes. The wonderful people that you meet, the calm, and unhurried pace that makes you take a step back and relax. The warm sun on your face, as you sit by the ocean, and drink your coffee in the morning. The wonderful Taco stands that sell the most increadable food that they prepare in a little tiny shack while at home, people have these huge fancy kitchens and can't even come close to the taste, and smells of the food. The sun rises and sun sets. You can be absolutely alone, or surrunded by people if you wish. It is everything that I think paradise should be.

It's the Baja feeling... once you have it, you can never forget it!

There is something for everyone who loves the outdoors or outdoor activity!

See some photos of Baja sites to get an idea...

My web site has plenty of my trip photos and links to other's web pages and photos: http://vivabaja.com

It's the easily accessible solitude in a beauty where desert meets water. The pristine feel of clean sea water. The slow, relaxed pace. The food, with hardly any ingredients, that has a unique great taste. The people, their friendly and welcoming smiles.
